Adopt a Domestic Short Hair / Mixed

Domestic Short Hair / Mixed Cat

Blackie C1296 the Cat needs a home

Greetings! My name is Blackie, and I'm an absolute gentleman looking for a caring and open-minded home. My foster mom, a vet tech, has a couple of mild-mannered adult dogs who I get along with swimmingly. In my previous home, I hung out with other cats and did fine after a gradual and positive introduction. I've even played well with little humans who treated me with great respect! Yes, it is true; I have an on-going but completely manageable disease, diabetes mellitus. Don't worry, I am feeling great for a senior kitty with diabetes! I am perfect for my insulin injections every 12 hours... mostly because I get a special canned food treat, so I don't even feel the tiny poke! If you're watching a movie, I'm the the best at snuggling! Sometimes loud noises startle me and I'll bolt to my safe spot (under the couch). But don't worry, I'll venture out when i feel safe. When I'm not napping in my cat tree, I enjoy nibbling on my dry food or clawing on my scratching posts. Occasionally, I enjoy pawing at a feather wand, string toy thingy with my foster lady. Shh! don't tell her: I do like playing with a little cotton puffball too.

I hope to meet you soon, so you can see just how sweet I am in person!
